Greetings From...
Arkansas... I've been here for just over a week working on system upgrades. Should be out of here in another week but you never know in this business. I may be headed for a long term installation in Wisconsin when this is done but who knows.
Vegas was OK. I never left the Sahara as we were to busy during the day cramming in all the necessary training and just spent the evenings on the slots and craps tables and indulging in alcoholic beverages... Actually I did good, I came home with every dime I left with. Of course, I was up and down a lot between my arrival and departure. I look forward to going back on my own (non-conference trip) with Stacey and explore what the rest of Vegas, outside the Saraha, is all about.
After getting back from Vegas I arranged to have new flooring put down throught the house. New wood laminate in the front of the house and carpet in the living room and bedrooms. I wanted to be there for the install but, as usual, my job called me away. It got done OK without me and Stacey is happy with it so all is well.
I got my Sirius satellite radio back!!!! The problem was within my trucks electrical system. Seems I'd been driving around for about a year with a problem within the distributor and rotor. Not sure why this was never detected or showed up on any codes but when I took it in for a major tune-up and service, the mechanic showed me where there was a hole burned right through the rotor. I'm not even sure how the truck was running like that. I then noticed, when listening to my terrestial radio, that all the static that had been gradually getting worse was completely gone so I hooked up my satellite radio and it has been working great!!!!! It is so nice to have it back.

nice to get an update - you are just a traveling fool. you guys will never know how "not" to live out of a suitcase. Glad the sirrius is now working. I have a 2005 Checy Equinox I may be in court (under Ohio Lemon Law) soon. Had it 1 1/2 years, 17,000 miles and been in shop 5 times for transmission switches. Lovely. Take care - travel safe.
