Must be gettin bored with Blogging... Been awhile
Hi Guys - I know, it's been a while... Lot's been going on.
Stacey and I went on a nice 2 week bike trip with our friends Ronnie and Brenda from Mississippi. Hooked up with them in Savannah, GA then went to Charleston, SC, then headed NW toward the NC/VA border and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The trip was awesome. We went on some awesome rides through and on top of the mountains including the Tail of the Dragon.
Since the trip we've been going through some difficult personal times with one another that I won't detail here but we are plugging along and doing our best to work things out and keep our relationship going. I think if we get through all this right now we will be all the better for it and then can really make some of those long term plans that most couples do.
I spent most of the remainder of July and August in Port St Lucie visiting my mom and my kids while taking care of some medical issues that have been developing, apparently without my knowledge. It sure sucks gettin old and dealing with all the associated ailments. Hell, I always thought of myself as indestructable but I guess it just ain't so... Had a great time with the family. I hadn't spent this much time with my family in a long time and it was awesome...
Now September is here and it's back to work time. You'de think that after almost three months off they could give you a few days notice for your next job but it never works that way. I was called on Sat and told to be on a flight on Sunday to Mexico. Now I'm working midnight shift near Tampico, MX doing a compressor inspection for a week or so... Who knows where next!!!

Rain in FL... Finally...
Woo Hooo!!! I finally got my phone. It took until yesterday but I finally got the replacement through insurance. It's a real pain when you have to get a police report and you're not right there. Added a couple days to the process...
Looks like I'm home for the summer. Looking forward to some R&R, that bike trip in July and what ever else might come my way... I bought a tour pack for the bike so Stacey has more room to put stuff. A friend is painting it to match my bike and it should be ready next week.
Gotta run and get all my "honey do" list done and out of the way so I can enjoy myself...
The rain is kinda messing up afternoon riding right now but we've been so dry for so long that it is a most welcome interruption

Cell Phone Withdrawal
Damn, this is driving me nuts. Just Friday afternoon when passing thru Atlanta on my way here to OK I misplaced my cell phone. Realized it just as I was sitting down on the plane. They let me off to check the Gate area but no phone... Contacted Verizon about a replacement but that will take a few days and I think, after talking to Delta Lost & Found that it may be there in Atlanta but was hard to get details from them late Friday. I've got an almost 3 hour layover in Atlanta later this afternoon so I should be able to locate it if it's there...
Funny how much we miss things that weren't even a part of our lives just a few years ago. I've just been really anxious since I can't get in touch with friends and family. I've used the General's calling card a couple times for "important" or "necessary" calls but it's not the same a being able to call or text anyone, anytime for any reason, not ot mention the navigation feature. I really missed that last night trying to find a hotel and local restaurants
Oh well, it's now 3:30 AM and wouldn't be able to contact anyone until sometime much later in the day anyway, which makes me feel a little more at ease...
