Mid summer update

Ok, so it's nearing the end of July and I haven't posted for a while... I pretty much have just been kicked back and enjoying my time off but beginning to get antsy and I'm just about ready to get back to work.

Stacey and I had a good time while on vacation in Indiana. She only had a couple weeks off and wanted to visit family and friends back home so we drove up and towed the bike. While there we parked the truck and just used the bike. Actually, I took the truck to a friend who has a body shop and he repaired some of the rear end damage that remained. After getting the front end fixed up from the Augusta accident, I wanted to get the rear done as well. Now I have a decent looking truck to drive...

We spent a lot of time riding through the country up there going from one small town to another and on pontoon boats just cruising some of the many lakes up there. Seems that most of Stacey's family and friends live on a lake and they all have at least one boat. We spent some time looking at property but didn't find anything that really excited us so we just dropped that idea for now.

I have to admit that while I had a good time, I'm kinda burned out on the whole Indiana vacation as we have done it three times in the past couple years and I'm more than ready to do something different next time around. I told her that next year I wanted her to take a month so we could take an extended road trip on the bike.

I was glad to see that Jules finally got out of India this past week and feel bad for Zac still being stuck there. Not really sure why he is there still since there is nothing going on. Damn, they can't even get the gas necessary to run the plant. Seems to me they could just bring him home and then send someone when they get the gas situation straightened out. I'm sure it's more about the politics than the work...

On Sunday, I'm going to a TA conference in Las Vegas. It's a short one, arrive Sunday afternoon, just Monday and Tuesday for whatever, then return home Wednesday. Don't think I'll do much gambling but may rent a bike to see the area while I'm there... If I have the opportunity.
